Here's the link to Thursday's WCNC report on sexual abuse in the Diocese of Charlotte. Comments made by Diocese spokesman David Hains on behalf of the ever-hiding Bishop Jugis were outrageous lies.
"All we can do is say we are sorry," Hains told the reporter. Yet I know that the Diocese never apologized to Robby Price or any of the other survivors that I represented.
Hains downplayed the amount of abuse that has occurred in the Charlotte Diocese, compared to other parts of the US, and denied claims that the Diocese protected and welcomed priests accused of sexual abuse.
I know from my own investigation of Charlotte Diocese priests, past and present, that accusations of sexual abuse were made against the priests before or during their service here.
Why does the Charlotte Diocese hide behind the statute of limitations, when they know that their priests were abusers?
Why do they always go to war against survivors who have the audacity to sue the church and go to the police?
