WBTV reports today: Church heard decades ago of sexual abuse by priests
I've been working for a decade at exposing how the leadership of the Charlotte Diocese has made it their practice to welcome and cover-up for priests who were sex abusers. I am proud to say that I provided much help for this story.
Nick Ochsner, chief investigative reporter for WBTV, has an incredible report on the Diocese's misconduct that will air at 6 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. A long version of the story will be posted by noon. Click the link below to learn more.
Finally, the first brick in the wall of secrecy is coming down. It won't be the last one to fall.
I encourage any victim of sexual abuse by a Charlotte Diocesan priest or a priest of a Religious Order who had a parish in the Charlotte Diocese, to contact the police department in the county in which they were abused, as well as to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Even if the priest is deceased, your reports will help tell the truth about the Charlotte Diocese's sordid history.
